Watford FC Confirms Takeover Discussions
7th December 2010Watford Leisure, the parent company of Watford Football Club (WFC), has confirmed that it could be subject to a takeover bid.
In a statement to the London Stock Exchange, the company said that majority shareholder Lord Ashcroft was in the early stages of talks with a potential buyer for his shares. If an offer is made for Lord Ashcroft's stake in the npower Championship club, it would trigger a full takeover offer for the company.
