Milestone For Knowsley Leisure Scheme

Work on a new £16.1m leisure and cultural complex in Huyton, Merseyside, has reached a milestone with the completion of the venue's steel frame.
Due to open in autumn 2011, the Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park will feature two 25m swimming pools, a six-court sports hall, a fitness suite, and a squash court.
Spa facilities, dance studios and a café area are also proposed as part of the scheme, with external cladding work now to commence. Glazing for the complex is scheduled to be installed in February 2011.
