$64bn USD To Be Invested In The KSA Entertainment Sector By 2030

ksa eventThe Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is serious about its plans to have fun, committing to invest US$ 64bn in the next 12 years to develop its entertainment offerings to help provide innovative leisure opportunities for all citizens and tourists.

The Kingdom is currently reforming its policies and regulations to promote the rise of the entertainment sector by lifting the ban on cinemas, concerts, festivals and shows, and enabling other forms of entertainment and tourism.

 

Entertainment KSA Event will take place on 3 – 5 September 2018 in Riyadh and will bring together the key government agencies developing and investing in the sector and developers and operators of cinemas, malls, family entertainment centres and theme & water parks to explore the opportunities for developing world class entertainment options for the Kingdom. They will meet solution providers and examine leading products and services for their projects.

In March 2017, GEA announced 28 events for 2017 Spring Break in KSA. At the same time, Saudi Arabia is pumping US$ 2.7 billion into new entertainment projects.

The government estimates that movie theatres will contribute to over $24 billion (90 billion Riyals) to the economy, with about 300 cinemas and 2,000 screens to be built in the country creating more than 30,000 jobs by 2030.
