British Olympic Association Signs Memorandum Of Understanding With Russian Olympic Committee

30th September 2011Olympics IOC

The British Olympic Association (BOA) has signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with its Russian counterpart to identify areas of strategic partnership.

It is intended that the new agreement will help the two organisations work together ahead of the London 2012 Games and the Sochi 2014 Winter Games to share best practice. Information relating to the organisation of the events and the respective "sporting landscape" of both countries will also be made available under the terms of the MoU.

BOA chair Colin Moynihan said: "As the Host National Olympic Committees for the next editions of the Olympic Games and Olympic Winter Games, both organisations have a great responsibility to the Olympic Movement upon our shoulders. This agreement displays our commitment to share best practice and support each other in the development of our relationships, both at National Olympic Committee level, and between our sport National Governing Bodies."
