Stadium & Arena 2012

Now in their 14th year the Stadia & Arena series of events are a top level learning, networking and sales event in the European Venue Management industry’s calendar.
The most recent event (held in Marseille, France in June 2011) further confirmed this status attracting delegates from around the world including USA, Australasia, The Middle East, South America, Africa, The Far East and almost every country in Europe.
In 2012 the event will return to France, this time under the patronage of Bordeaux FC, at the Bordeaux Congress Centre. With France having been awarded the European Football Championships in 2016 and the French Football Federation bid including 12 stadiums (of which 4 will be new and 7 requiring major renovations with a total budget in excess of 1.7 billion) Bordeaux is a site of one of these new facilities.
The City, The Club and The Contractors construction programme means that work should have commenced by June 2012 and delegates to the conference will possibly have an opportunity to view progress during the course of the event. Bordeaux Football Club, anchor tenants of the new facility, have given their support to the Stadia & Arena event and are excited that the event offers a unique learning experience by having the best brains in the industry come to their project during its inception.
In addition to the work being undertaken in the Stadium industry, France has countless Arena projects under design, planning, construction and refurbishment. Representatives from all of these projects will be invited and encouraged to attend Stadia & Arena so that the whole French and mainstream European market comes together to learn, share and buy products and services together.
The Stadia & Arena series of events also enjoys the unequivocal support of 2 of the major trade associations covering the industry: IAVM Europe (International Association of Venue Managers) and ESSMA (The European Safety and Stadium Management Association, incorporate head grounds men).
ESSMA and the Stadia & Arena series recently signed a new 5 year support partnership.
