BOA Chair Rejects Speculation Linking Sir Clive Woodward With RFU Return
27th April 2011British Olympic Association (BOA) chair Colin Moynihan has rejected speculation linking Sir Clive Woodward with a return to the Rugby Football Union (RFU).
It has been reported that Sir Clive could be set to return to English rugby's national governing body as performance director; a claim Moynihan has dismissed as "purely speculative".
Moynihan said: "We have an outstanding management team at the BOA and it is no surprise they are in demand.
"Clive is doing a great job in the run-up to the Olympic Games and will, I hope, stay with us. Reports about him returning to a role with the RFU are purely speculative."
A RFU statement added: "These [reports] are incorrect and are based on rumour and speculation, not fact."
