Bernstein Nominated To Chair The Football Association

David Bernstein, former chair of Manchester City Football Club, has been nominated to be the new chair of the Football Association (FA). The FA Board unanimously approved Bernstein's nomination for the role, with the national governing body's council asked to endorse the appointment on 25th January.
Acting FA chair Roger Burden said: "The board was united in its view that David would make an excellent choice as chair of the organisation. We look forward to working with David to take the FA forward in the best interests of football at all levels across the country."
Bernstein added: "It is a tremendous challenge but I look forward to working with the board, the staff at the FA and everyone in football from local playing fields to Wembley and the international stage."
